Amber May, MD

Child, Adolescent, & Adult Psychiatrist  

Dr. Amber May is a double board-certified Child, Adolescent, & Adult Psychiatrist who works with patients throughout their life cycle. ​Dr. May strives to empower her patients to navigate complex emotions, thoughts, and behaviors while enhancing various facets of their lives. Her areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, OCD, Mood Disorders, and PTSD. Dr. May provides care tailored to your needs and closely monitors your progress. Each medication visit is in the context of a therapeutic relationship. Dr. May's holistic approach ensures all aspects of your well-being are considered including environmental stressors, physical health, and lifestyle factors.

  • Board-certified in both General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP).

  • Former Medical Director at the Comprehensive ADHD Clinic and Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) Medical Center.

  • Current volunteer faculty member at UIC, teaching medical students, residents, and CAP fellows.

  • Member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

  • Special interests in psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy

Jehu Strange, MD

Family Medicine & Lifestyle Physician

Dr. Jehu Strange is passionate about helping you discover and address the root cause of your symptoms. He is a Family Physician known for his commitment to compassionate and personalized care.​​​ By considering lifestyle, genetics, and environmental factors, Dr. Strange provides a comprehensive approach to treatment. His practice is characterized by individualized, patient-centered, and evidence-based care. Beyond managing symptoms, Dr. Strange is passionate about enhancing your overall health and well-being.

  • Board-certified in Family Medicine.

  • Member of the American Association of Family Physicians and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

  • Special interests in evaluation for commonly under-diagnosed medical contributors to psychiatric conditions and lifestyle interventions for health optimization.

Alexander Chevalier, MD

Child, Adolescent, & Adult Psychiatrist  

Dr. Alexander Chevalier was born and raised in Wisconsin (Go Packers!) where he completed undergraduate and medical school at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.  Following medical school, he completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he continued as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellow before ultimately becoming a chief fellow.  


Following training, Dr. Chevalier has worked as associate chief medical officer at Hartgrove Hospital, served as the medical director of behavioral health at Southern Illinois Healthcare, and most recently served as the adolescent medical director at Suncloud Health.  Dr. Chevalier's treatment approach emphasizes the intersection of evidenced-based treatment, patient empowerment, and shaping lifestyle to support mental health.

  

In his spare time, Dr. Chevalier enjoys spending time with his family, going on adventurous day hikes (e.g. Half Dome, Angel's Landing), and anything to do with dogs (having a husky and border collie himself).

  • Mental health presentations in high stress professions

  • Navigation of higher levels of care (residential, PHP, IOP)
